• The Parliamentary Institute of Cambodia (PIC) was founded in 2011 at the request of members of the Cambodian Parliament. It is independent but responds to a need to support capacity building among Parliamentarians and parliamentary staff, and to help the Cambodian Parliament to improve its overall performance.

    Seminar: Public Consultation Guidelines

    A seminar on the newly drafted Public Consultation Guidelines took place on Friday 24 June 2016 at the Senate of Cambodia. This was organized by the General Secretariat of the Senate and the Parliamentary Institute of Cambodia,​ ​and staff from the General Secretariat constituted the 250 participants who attended the event. The purpose of the seminar was to introduce parliamentary staff to the Public Consultation Guidelines, to alert them to its contents, and to tell them how this document could act as a useful resource

    Roundtable Discussion: Culture and Education as Tools of Rapprochement and Reconciliation

    Rapprochement and Reconciliation: Best Practices from Germany and France took place on Monday 27 May 2016 at the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The event was organized by the Parliamentary Institute of Cambodia in cooperation with the Embassies of France and Germany, the French Institute of Cambodia and the Franco-German Cultural Fund. There were around with 200 participants including Senators, Members of Parliament, parliamentary staff and representatives from the Parliamentary Institute of Cambodia.

    MoU signing ceremony between PIC and AIPA

    On the evening of Monday 4 April 2016, the Parliamentary Institute of Cambodia achieved a significant milestone in its development by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU with the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA). The MoU forms the basis for the establishment of a capacity development program for staff of ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly Member Parliaments and particularly supports PIC’s South-South Cooperation Initiative (SSCI).
